Southern Community Foundation
Southern Community Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Hernando, Mississippi that provides assistance, community contributions, and events to benefit the children of Hernando. SCF was born out Southern Pediatric Therapy’s heart and commitment to serving children and families in Hernando. For years, SPT has led community initiatives, events, and fundraisers to support local needs. SCF was created to take that passion even further—expanding their reach and impact beyond therapy services to fund projects, provide resources, and support initiatives that make a lasting difference in our community. While SCF is a separate nonprofit, its foundation is deeply rooted in the values and dedication that started at SPT.
Care Closet
At Southern Pediatric Therapy, we know that meeting a child’s full range of needs often goes beyond therapy sessions. That’s why we created the SPT Care Closet—a resource stocked with essential items to support local families in times of need.
The Care Closet offers free access to gently used and new items such as:
Children’s clothing (sizes newborn through teen)
Shoes
Diapers and wipes
We want all our families to feel supported both in and out of the clinic. If your family could benefit from the Care Closet, we’re here for you—no questions asked and no proof of income required. Just complete the application below and a member of our team will contact you to coordinate pickup or delivery.
All donations can be dropped off at our front desk during business hours. You can also contact us to arrange a larger donation or ask about specific needs.
