Born in New Orleans and raised in South Mississippi, Megan has always been driven by a passion for serving children with unique needs. After graduating high school six months early, she pursued a career in occupational therapy, earning her Associate’s degree in Applied Science through the OTA program at Pearl River Community College in 2011.

Megan’s career began in Florida at a special needs school, where she gained expertise in Hippotherapy, Aquatic Therapy, and ABA therapy techniques. In 2013, she returned to Mississippi to work for DeSoto County Schools, where she provided in-services and educational opportunities for teachers on sensory techniques to create supportive classroom environments.

After taking a brief hiatus to focus on her family, Megan joined Southern Pediatric Therapy as a PRN therapist before accepting a full-time position in 2023. She has spearheaded some of SPT’s first sensory-focused community events, such as Trunk or Treat and Sensory Santa, bringing joy and inclusion to children and families.

Megan is passionate about the field of occupational therapy, with a special focus on ADHD, autism, and sensory processing. She holds certifications in Kinesiotaping and Therapeutic Listening, is trained in Handwriting Without Tears and ABA behavioral techniques for ADHD and autism, and is currently pursuing ASDI and ADHD-RSP certifications.

In her spare time, Megan enjoys crafting, reading, gardening, attending music events, and spending quality time with her daughter, pets, and chickens.
